Recipe By Orville
Preparation Time 0:40

Makes about 4 cups.

2 cans stewed tomatoes -- Italian style
1 can tomato paste -- 6 oz
1/4 cup parsley
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon tarragon
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1/3 cup onion -- chopped
1/2 cup white wine

In a food processor add the stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, parsley, and all of the seasonings. Blend until smooth. A hand blended may also be used if a food processor is not available. In a large skillet sauté the onions in the olive oil and butter. Cook for about 3 minutes. Add the sauce from the processor and the white wine and simmer for about 30 minutes.
