1 1/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
4 egg yolks -- beaten
2 cups water
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons butter -- melted
Mix sugar, cornstarch, egg yolks, and water. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Stir in lemon juice and butter. Pour filling into a 9" baked pie shell. Top with meringue and bake at 350 degrees until meringue is browned.
