Preparation Time--45 min

Serves 6

12 to 16 ozs tuna--drained
12 to 16 ozs egg noodles
1 can cream of celery soup
2 tablespoons Miracle Whip
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon basil
1 can english peas--drained
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
4 slices toasted bread
4 tablespoons melted butter


Cook the noodles until tender. Combine the drained tuna, cream soup, sour cream, english peas, Miracle Whip, grated cheese, and seasonings. Mix well. Toast the bread on both sides. Crumble 2 slices of the toast and add to the mixture. Add the noodles and mix well. Place in a casserole dish (2 quart). Crumble the other 2 slices of bread and sprinkle over the top. Pour the melted butter over the top of the casserole. Bake covered in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes and then remove the cover and bake another 10 minutes to brown the top.
